I am TWO!!

Princess has turned 2! And its a low key birthday for granny just passed away, all my paternal side relatives cannot celebrate with her. So mummy dearest cooked a sumptous dinner for daddy's family instead :)

It was a day packed with lots of activities. Morning there's lesson at Julia Gabriels afterwhich we met up with Aunty Lisa for lunch and pasteries at Cova which serve yummy cakes & sandwiches. Then its grocery shopping!

Menu fit for 8 diners-
1. Prawns with saltd egg yolk
2. Honey roast chicken wings
3. Bean Curd with pork floss
4. Traditional Miso Soup

I would say it was a success! Too bad no picture as proof. haha.
My FIL love the soup & prawns. And I made my hubby proud :)
100 brownie points!

The main hero - a Barney birthday cake from Prima Deli!

And the highlight of the night - kaira got drunk!
She drank 2 big sips of green tea &volka mixwhich soon got her so high and lobster red that she did a dance on the bed. hahahaaa

Thank god there's no hangover next day.

Invisible friend

Yes daddy is very sure, 100% confirmed, there's another 'thing' in the room. And only visible to princess!

She has been acting strange since 2-3 weeks back and nighttime is my nightmare. Really.
Try getting woken up from sweetdreams in the middle of the each night by sharp screaming. And not once but twice! Once at 2.45am & another at 6plus am. Its a blessing I am now helping out in the family business, otherwise I would be on no-pay leave straight!

Princess refused to let us switch off the lights at night and only willing to shut-eye aft 12am.
Sigh. I do, really, need advice from higher beings...time to sought my faith.

老师早安!

Ok mummy has not been diligent enough to update your blog weekly. My excuse is too emotionally and phsically drained at age 31. It's no joke raising a young one in your mid-life.

Princess has started class at Julia Gabriels (located @ Evans road) and *cross fingers* things has been so far so good :) She really enjoys the musical part aka singing & clowning... and I beleve she's the only kid in class to know how to sing Twinkle Little Star full version! haha

The funny thing is, princess can't form a sentence yet able to sing a full song! Is that music genius or wat?! Mmm Vanessa Mae or Sun Ho? haha I shall dream my little dream...

Gosh I've sidetracked too much. Back to lessons. Her 1st lesson commenced on 4th Jul, Sat. As its biligual class, there's 2 mandarin female teachers & 2 english teachers (1 male & 1 female). And there's already activity! Aahhh... such fun! Not sure abt Princess, I totally enjoyed myself! Its like walking down memory lane...forgotten childhood.

Hurt by hot water - 2days ago

I knew something like this will happen - getting scalded by hot water ,has always been my 1st worry. Little Kaira loves hanging out in the kitchen and loves playing with pens and plates... I really am not in great shock when my in-laws break the news to me.

As usual, I never get to witness kaira's getting-in-trouble act. I was out jogging around neighbourhood and within this short span of 40mins, she has to get herself into shit. SIGH SIGH SIGH. We have this hot flask which we will bring to our room everynight to make her mik. SO my smart-ass and kind FIL put it at the low table in the living room for our convenienced. Who knows little Kaira took to playing with the flask when NO single pair of eyes were watching her (beats me. when u gota be in shit u gota be in shit)...PRESSO! She's crying like a slaughtered pig.

Lucky its not serious like 3rd degree burnt but its serious enough to leave a mark on her chest. And lucky the hot water didnt flow fast enough to get into her throat. It dribbled down her chest instead.

Hope this will teach her a lesson not to play with flask.

Ringggggggggggggggg! Class starting!

Yippy Kaira is starting her 1st lesson tomorrow @ Julia Gabriel - Sat 4July (wow US independence day). Located at Evans, it has a peaceful atmosphere with lots of greenary. Perfect way to embrace nature for little ones...I even spotted a cute squirrel on my trip to register her! A sweet surprised.

I'm not sure if she will gel with the rest of the kids and her reactions to many little ones for 2 full hours... this is THE big test to find out whether she has mummy's outgoing nature OR daddy's reserved attitude. haha
